Ok, let's back up a second. What is up with my body?
Something happened in the last week with my digestive system. It is super screwy. I have had a lot of life changes all going on at once, and my colon decided it wanted to be a part of it too.
When I have colon issues, it tends to come in the form of constipation. That's cool. I have spent a long time working out how to keep myself regular. Now, though, I have diarrhea! What the heck? It has been pretty consistent for about a week now. Somewhere along the line, I got something in my body that is wreaking havoc.
If you have read any of my past posts, it may occur to you that I like to take a natural approach to my wellbeing. Finally, after trying all forms of food to solidify my poop, It's time to take serious action. I'm killing these buggers off!
Fire cider is traditionally fermented onion, garlic, horseradish and peppers. It is used as an immune tonic. I changed mine up a little bit. Check it out:
STEP ONE
In a food processor, chop up equal parts of the ingredients listed above...
OR
Chop up equal parts of what I used: Onion, horseradish, rutabaga, jalapeƱos, turmeric. Combined, these are powerful antibiotics, anti-fungals and anti-inflammatories.
STEP TWO
Mix ingredients together evenly and fill a glass jar with the chopped roots. Add Apple Cider Vinegar to the top of the mixture in the jar. Make sure ACV covers the mixture. Place a piece of plastic wrap over the combo and put the lid on the jar securely. Set aside in a dark place, cool place. Do not refrigerate.
Wait at least two weeks...
